Plant in good condition
Houlletia Polycycnis Braemia are really good candidates to hibridize sequencially with big and beautiful stanhopea.
By keeping these genus % parentage about 50% will induce the first really erect Stanhopeinae hybrids that can be kept in simple pots with trully erect spikes. Not arched.
Soterosanthus has non resupinate flowers so It wont make a good display or at best very badly unarranged flowers...
But I also agree and we discuss in our society when will someone of Ecuagenera finally deliver this... Stanhopeinae with erect spikes full of nice looking flowers

Plant is about a foot long root to tip looks like a paphinia plant. Thin leaves. Not sure what an adult plant size should look like. Keeping in high humidity, good air circulation. Hope it grows new roots soon.

Ivan,
The seedlings were small and expensive, but that is my comment to all vendors as I seek better value for my money.
Your Polygora and this hybrid is an excellent grex toward erect flowered Stanhopeinae. In the future I suggest using Houlletia sanderae x Stanhopea, and also make hybrids using Braemia, Soterosanthus, and Horichia with other Stanhopea. I think there is a market for erect flowered Stanhopea that do not need to grow in baskets.
