Odontoglossum Stropheon 'los Osos' X Odm. Mount Tamalpais 'big.jh' Culture

Odontoglossum Stropheon 'los Osos' X Odm. Mount Tamalpais 'big.jh' is an Odontoglossum orchid hybrid grown at our nurseries in Ecuador. Like most of its genus it appreciates cool-growing conditions and steady, attentive care.

  • Light: Bright, indirect light, out of direct midday sun.
  • Temperature: Day temperatures of 15-24 °C (59-75 °F) with a gentle drop at night to 10-15 °C (50-59 °F) suit it best.
  • Humidity: High humidity (70-85%) with constant gentle air movement, much like its cloud-forest conditions, keeps the plant healthy and prevents fungal spots.
  • Watering: Water regularly during active growth, allowing the medium to begin drying between waterings. Reduce slightly during the cooler months.
