Vanda falcata

Vanda falcata is a compact monopodial orchid admired for its graceful fan of narrow leaves and refined presence. It is an elegant choice for collectors who enjoy orchids with a strong seasonal rhythm and a display-worthy growth habit.

Care Guide

• Light: Provide bright filtered light, with gentle morning sun if the plant is acclimated. Protect it from intense midday sun.
• Water: Water thoroughly and regularly during active growth, allowing the roots to become lightly dry between waterings. In cooler, slower-growing periods, reduce frequency while preventing prolonged dehydration.
• Humidity: Maintain moderate to high humidity with strong air circulation around the roots and leaves.
• Temperature: Provide warm to intermediate conditions during active growth. Cooler seasonal nights can be beneficial, but protect the plant from frost and prolonged extreme cold.
• Growing medium: Grow mounted, in a slatted basket, or in an airy mound of long-fiber sphagnum that drains freely and permits excellent root ventilation.

With bright filtered light, seasonal watering, good humidity, cooler winter nights, and excellent airflow, Vanda falcata can become a beautifully proportioned specimen with enduring collector appeal.
