Описание

An epiphytic species from the cloud forests of South America, producing solitary flowers on erect peduncles with dramatically elongated, narrow sepals that curve downward and outward, shorter forward-arching lateral petals, and a small lip with a contrasting column. Its striking, sculptural floral architecture and simultaneous multi-flower display make it one of the most dramatic species in the genus.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the broad, strap-like leaves.
  • Temperature: 58–78°F (14–26°C); thrives as an intermediate-warm grower with stable temperatures and a gentle nighttime drop.
  • Humidity: 65–80%; consistent humidity supports vigorous pseudobulb development and prolific blooming.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix in a pot or basket. Plants are shipped bare root, well established, and ready to adapt to your growing conditions.
