Information

Описание

Описание

A compact and sculptural species from the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing solitary flowers on short scapes from the base of the pseudobulbs. The blooms are fleshy and well-structured, with erect dorsal petals, strongly recurved lateral sepals, and a small, curved lip — giving the flower a bold, architectural silhouette unlike most in the genus.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can stress the upright, strap-like foliage.
  • Temperature: 57–79°F (14–26°C); an intermediate-warm grower that adapts well to stable indoor conditions.
  • Humidity: 65–80%; consistent humidity with good airflow is essential for healthy root development.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to partially dry between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the root zone.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark or sphagnum mix in a small to medium pot. A distinctive collector's species prized for its unusual, sculptural flower form. Shipped bare root in well-established condition.
