Maxillaria Alan Digby

A hybrid of Max. Sangai × Max. striata, two species from the Andean cloud forests. It produces multiple flowers per scape with narrow, recurved sepals, strongly veined petals, and a trilobed lip with undulate margins.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can burn the foliage.
• Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an intermediate grower that benefits from a slight drop in nighttime temperatures.
• Humidity: 60–80%; consistent humidity supports vigorous growth and repeat blooming.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in fine bark mix in a well-draining pot. Ships bare root and well-established.
