Gomenkoa Spotty Burr

A floriferous oncidioid hybrid with well-formed, symmetrical flowers featuring a broad, bilobed bright yellow labellum, yellow sepals and petals marked with irregular chestnut-brown bars and spots, and a prominent golden-orange callus at the center. The bold, contrasting pattern and generous bloom count make it a striking addition to any intermediate collection.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; good light levels encourage robust pseudobulb development and reliable blooming.
• Temperature: 55–75°F (13–24°C); an intermediate grower that benefits from a slight drop in nighttime temperature to initiate flowering.
• Humidity: 55–75%; moderate to high humidity supports healthy pseudobulb growth and prevents leaf tip burn.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; oncidioid hybrids prefer a distinct wet-dry cycle to thrive.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark mix or mounted on cork for excellent air circulation around the roots. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established, with mature pseudobulbs ready to bloom.
