Epidendrum Uzhupud Soul

A striking hybrid crossing the Ecuadorian native Epi. hugomedinae with Epi. Eric Hagsater, producing robust, reed-like stems with attractive, alternating foliage. The terminal, densely clustered inflorescences produce numerous intricately shaped, waxy flowers that create a dynamic and long-lasting display, making it a highly desirable addition for any collector.

• Light: Bright indirect light to filtered morning sun; strong light levels promote sturdy growth and successful blooming.
• Temperature: 59–82°F (15–28°C); a resilient intermediate grower that adapts beautifully to stable indoor or greenhouse environments.
• Humidity: 60–80%; moderate to high atmospheric moisture paired with good air circulation prevents rot and ensures healthy development.
• Watering: Water thoroughly when the growing medium begins to approach dryness, ensuring the substrate drains quickly and completely.

Additional Notes

Growing this medium-statured plant in a coarse, well-draining bark mix ensures excellent root health to support its multi-flowered spikes. Ships bare root, well established, and requires a gentle rehydration at an intermediate temperature before potting upon arrival.
