Information

Описание

Описание

A reed-stem epiphyte endemic to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing branched panicles with dense secondary clusters of small, striking bicolored flowers. The blooms display dark maroon-purple sepals and petals in sharp contrast with a prominent, white, fringed lip, creating an elegant and eye-catching display above broad, lance-shaped, leathery leaves.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun to prevent stress on the broad foliage.
  • Temperature: 54–75°F (12–24°C); an intermediate grower that benefits from moderate temperature fluctuations between day and night.
  • Humidity: 65–85%; good air circulation around the stems and roots helps prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; avoid standing water at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
