Information

Описание

Описание

A reed-stem epiphyte from the Andean cloud forests of South America, bearing few-flowered racemes of small, star-shaped blooms on upright cane stems with broad, oval, leathery leaves. The flowers display narrow, acuminate, horizontally spreading sepals and petals alongside a small lip with a prominent yellow callus at its center.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun to prevent stress on the broad, leathery foliage.
  • Temperature: 50–72°F (10–22°C); an intermediate-cool grower that benefits from cool nights and good air movement.
  • Humidity: 70–85%; good air circulation around the stems and roots helps prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; avoid standing water at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix or mounted on cork. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to settle into their new growing environment.
