Описание

Описание

A cool-growing reed-stem orchid from the cloud forests of South America, producing long, freely branched panicles with numerous small, well-spaced flowers bearing reflexed linear lanceolate sepals, narrow petals, and a trilobed lip with a bilobed central lobe and a contrasting, streaked callus. The airy, multi-branched inflorescence is characteristic of this paniculate species.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun, which can scorch the foliage.
  • Temperature: 50–68°F (10–20°C); a cool grower that requires cold nights characteristic of high Andean cloud forests to thrive and bloom reliably.
  • Humidity: 75–85%; high humidity supports vigorous cane development and the freely branching inflorescences.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the substrate to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a generously sized pot with a well-draining bark-based mix and excellent air circulation to support the tall canes and branching panicles. Ships bare root, well-established.
