Dracula radiella

A compact epiphytic orchid with pendant, triangular flowers, long sepal tails, and a prominent hinged lip. Its small growth habit and cool-growing nature make it well suited to humid terrariums and shaded orchid collections.

• Light: Bright, filtered light under 70–80% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun, which can stress the delicate foliage.
• Temperature: 50–68°F (10–20°C) as a cool grower; provide stable temperatures and good air movement, especially at night.
• Humidity: Maintain 75–90% humidity to support steady growth and flower development; pair high humidity with continuous gentle airflow.
• Watering: Water thoroughly whenever the medium begins to approach dryness, keeping the roots evenly moist without allowing the plant to remain saturated.

Additional Notes

Native to the cool, humid cloud forests of Ecuador, this Dracula grows best in fine, moisture-retentive but well-aerated orchid media, such as sphagnum with fine bark, in a basket or ventilated pot. Shipped bare root, well-established.
