A variety of Den. cuthbertsonii var. agathodaemonis from the montane forests of New Guinea, producing flowers that are extraordinarily large relative to the plant's miniature size. The broad, rounded sepals and petals have a soft, smooth texture, and the tubular rolled labellum completes a floral structure that virtually obscures the small, narrow-leaved stems beneath — one of the most floriferous miniature orchids in cultivation.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 30–50% shade cloth; tolerates some morning sun, which intensifies bloom production on this compact grower.
• Temperature: 50–70°F (10–21°C); a cool to intermediate grower that requires stable, mild temperatures and excellent air circulation — avoid heat, which shortens bloom duration significantly.
• Humidity: 70–90%; very high humidity is essential, as this variety originates from cloud forest environments with near-constant moisture.
• Watering: Keep the medium evenly moist; never allow to dry out completely, as the fine root system has very limited water storage capacity.

Additional Notes

Offered as a well-established plant of approximately 7 cm, shipped bare root. Best grown mounted or in a very small pot with a fine, moisture-retentive mix and strong air movement. Individual flowers are exceptionally long-lasting, often persisting for several months.
