One of the original species in the genus, it produces large, waxy, golden-yellow to orange cup-shaped flowers with a rocking lip and a rich, sweet fragrance that fills the room during bloom season. At 45 cm, this intermediate-growing species is a substantial and rewarding plant that has captivated orchid enthusiasts for over 170 years.
