Hoya Mathilde splash leaf

A hybrid of H. carnosa × H. serpens, combining the compact, trailing habit of both parents. The splash leaf form features small, rounded, dark green leaves densely speckled with irregular silver-white flecks, giving each leaf a distinctive painted appearance.

• Light: Bright indirect light; a few hours of gentle morning sun encourage compact growth and flowering. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can fade the splash pattern.
• Temperature: 60–86°F (16–30°C); a warm grower that adapts well to typical indoor conditions. Avoid temperatures below 55°F (13°C).
• Humidity: 50–70%; tolerates average indoor humidity but benefits from higher levels for more vigorous growth.
• Watering: Allow the mix to dry out moderately between waterings; never let roots sit in standing water, as Hoyas are prone to root rot in consistently wet conditions.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a fast-draining mix of orchid bark and perlite in a small pot; prefers to be slightly root-bound before repotting. Do not remove old peduncles after flowering — new blooms emerge from the same spurs. Shipped as a well-rooted cutting or established plant; plant promptly upon arrival in a breathable, fast-draining mix.
