Epidendrum moronense

A reed-stem epiphyte endemic to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing short racemes of small flowers that emerge nestled among large, lance-shaped, channeled leaves with prominent longitudinal venation. The blooms display narrow, strongly recurved and twisted sepals and petals alongside a prominently fringed lip with long, delicate fringe-like margins.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun to prevent stress on the broad, channeled foliage.
• Temperature: 57–78°F (14–26°C); an intermediate-warm grower that adapts well to stable warm conditions with moderate night temperature drops.
• Humidity: 65–85%; good air movement around the roots and stems helps prevent fungal issues.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; avoid standing water at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to settle into their new growing environment.
