Oncidium Wayne Riggs

A hybrid of Onc. lehmannii × Onc. armatum, two Oncidium species from the Andean cloud forests. The flowers are star-shaped with broad, rounded petals and a small, ruffled lip, carried on arching, multi-flowered spikes.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun, which can scorch the leaves.
• Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an intermediate-cool grower that appreciates cooler nights to initiate blooming.
• Humidity: 60–80%; good air circulation helps prevent fungal issues while maintaining moisture around the roots.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix in a slatted basket or clay pot to promote air circulation around the roots. Shipped bare root, well established, and ready to adapt to your growing conditions.
