Описание

An epiphytic species native to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing erect inflorescences with multiple flowers featuring elongated, arching sepals and petals boldly marked with dark longitudinal striations and a trilobed lip with a contrasting white and purple center. Its striking patterned blooms and vigorous growth make it a standout specimen in any intermediate collection.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the foliage and fade the distinctive striped markings.
  • Temperature: 55–75°F (13–24°C); thrives as an intermediate grower with a moderate nighttime temperature drop to encourage flowering.
  • Humidity: 60–80%; consistent moisture in the air supports robust pseudobulb development and prolific blooming.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix in a pot or basket. Plants are shipped bare root, well established, and ready to adapt to your growing conditions.
