Information

Описание

Описание

A branching sympodial orchid from the Andean cloud forests of South America, with slender, knotted stems, broad glossy ovate leaves, and waxy flowers emerging from the nodes between the leaves. Each flower features broad ovate sepals, rounded petals, and a trilobed lip with wide lateral lobes and a broad emarginate central lobe.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun, which can scorch the broad foliage.
  • Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an intermediate grower that thrives with stable temperatures and good air circulation.
  • Humidity: 70–85%; consistent humidity supports healthy stem development and reliable flowering.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the substrate to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a small pot with a well-draining bark mix. The waxy node flowers are best appreciated up close. Ships bare root, well-established.
