Acianthera oscitans

This is a miniature, mat-forming epiphyte native to Central America, is typically found growing on tree trunks and rocks in open mountain forests at elevations around 2000 feet (600 meters) and higher.

• Light: Provide filtered or dappled light (partial shade). Avoid intense direct sun exposure.
• Temperature: Grow as an Intermediate temperature species. The ideal range is between 60-80°F (15-27°C), with a slight temperature drop at night.
• Humidity: Requires high humidity, preferably over 70%. Strong, constant air movement is essential.
• Watering: Water frequently to keep the medium consistently moist; the plant should never dry out completely.

Additional Notes

The species is known for its creeping habit and thick roots. It produces small flowers that are white with rose stripes or suffusion towards the base of the sepals.
