Описание

Описание

A large, well-established mat of this compact epiphyte from the cloud forests of South America, with short, clustered pseudobulbs bearing small, densely arranged oblong leaves in a creeping, expansive habit. The ovoid closed flowers are produced in dense clusters from the pseudobulb base, displaying a striking bicolor pattern: a yellow-green apex transitioning to a lower half densely covered in deep purple-violet spots that nearly merge into solid pigmentation, with a finely papillose surface throughout.

  • Light: Moderate indirect light with 55–65% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can stress the compact foliage.
  • Temperature: 58–72°F (14–22°C); an intermediate grower that benefits from consistent temperatures and good airflow.
  • Humidity: 65–85%; high humidity supports vigorous rhizomatous growth and prolific blooming.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; pseudobulbs provide moderate drought tolerance.

Additional Notes

Blooms repeatedly throughout the year in dense clusters from the pseudobulb base. Best grown in a shallow pot or basket with coarse bark or sphagnum moss. A compact and visually striking species for any intermediate collection. Ships bare-root in excellent condition.
