Описание

Описание

A selected dark form of Epi. mancum, endemic to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing tall, slender, erect racemes of small, star-shaped flowers arranged alternately along the stem above a fan of narrow, strap-like basal leaves. The blooms display narrow, acuminate sepals and petals with contrasting pale tips alongside a small, three-lobed lip with a central callus, with dark buds at the apex creating a striking gradient from bud to open flower.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun to preserve the compact fan habit and dark floral pigmentation.
  • Temperature: 45–65°F (7–18°C); a cool grower that thrives with cool nights and consistent temperature fluctuations between day and night.
  • Humidity: 75–90%; good air movement around the roots and stems is essential to prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; avoid standing water at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a well-draining bark-based mix. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
