Information

Описание

Описание

A creeping, mat-forming orchid from the Andean cloud forests of South America, with slender branching stems, small bicolored ovate leaves, and flowers emerging directly from the stem nodes. Each flower features very long, narrow linear sepals and a contrasting dark lip — entirely unlike typical reed-stem Epidendrum.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun, which can stress the delicate creeping stems.
  • Temperature: 54–72°F (12–22°C); an intermediate-cool grower that benefits from mild days and cool nights with good air movement.
  • Humidity: 75–85%; high humidity is essential to support the fine, creeping growth habit and prevent desiccation of the slender stems.
  • Watering: Keep the substrate evenly moist; avoid prolonged dryness, which can stress the shallow root system.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a shallow pan with a fine, moisture-retentive bark mix, where the creeping stems can spread naturally. Ships bare root, well-established.
