Описание

Описание

A reed-stem orchid from the Caribbean and tropical America, producing compact corymbs with medium-sized, waxy flowers featuring narrow, twisted lanceolate sepals, undulate petals, and a broad trilobed lip with rounded lateral lobes and an emarginate central lobe. The irregular, contorted floral segments give each flower a distinctively sculptural, asymmetric character.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun, which can scorch the foliage.
  • Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an intermediate grower that thrives with stable temperatures and good air circulation.
  • Humidity: 70–85%; consistent humidity supports vigorous cane development and reliable flowering.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the substrate to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix. The waxy, contorted flowers are best appreciated up close. Ships bare root, well-established.
