Oncidium Space Mine

A striking hybrid of Onc. sphacelatum × Onc. Carmine, producing branched spikes with several large, velvety flowers. The broadly spreading sepals and petals have a strongly undulate and irregular margin, while the very prominent trilobed lip features a fringed bilobed frontal lobe and a contrasting central callus with vivid orange filaments.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun, which can stress the long lanceolate foliage.
• Temperature: 54–72°F (12–22°C); an intermediate to cool grower that benefits from a nighttime temperature drop to encourage spike initiation.
• Humidity: 60–80%; consistent moisture supports vigorous pseudobulb development and prolific flowering.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; never allow roots to sit in standing water.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a medium bark mix with good drainage and airflow around the roots. Plants are shipped bare root, well established, and ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
