Oncidium Pepe Portilla

A floriferous primary hybrid of Onc. chrysomorphum × Onc. nebulosum, producing upright, densely flowered spikes with numerous small flowers clustered along the rachis. The ovate sepals and petals have a smooth texture with a gently undulate margin, while the trilobed lip features a broad, rounded frontal lobe and a prominent central callus flanked by short column wings.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun, which can stress the compact pseudobulbs.
• Temperature: 54–72°F (12–22°C); an intermediate to cool grower that benefits from a nighttime temperature drop to encourage spike initiation.
• Humidity: 65–80%; consistent moisture supports healthy growth and the production of densely flowered spikes.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; never allow roots to sit in standing water.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a fine to medium bark mix with good drainage and airflow around the roots. Plants are shipped bare root, well established, and ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
