Oncidium

Онцидиум, который часто называют «орхидеей-танцовщицей», — это яркий и пышный род, известный своими обильными соцветиями из мелких, замысловатых цветков, напоминающих танцовщиц в широких, развевающихся юбках. Родом из самых разных мест обитания по всей Латинской Америке — от тропических дождевых лесов до высокогорных туманных лесов — эти орхидеи обычно выпускают высокие разветвленные цветоносы, плотно усыпанные цветами ослепительных оттенков желтого, бронзового, красного, розового и белого, часто украшенных контрастными пятнами или узорами. Их характерная губа обычно крупная и бахромчатая, что придает им живой и динамичный вид. Многие виды и гибриды также обладают восхитительным ароматом, наполняя воздух сладким, а иногда и пряным запахом.
