Phragmipedium Belle Hougue Point

A hybrid of Phrag. Eric Young × Phrag. caudatum, inheriting the dramatically elongated, ribbon-like petals of caudatum alongside the broad dorsal sepal and well-formed inflated pouch of its hybrid parent. The result is a striking long-petaled slipper orchid with exceptional floral architecture.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid harsh midday sun, which can scorch the strap-like leaves.
• Temperature: 59–77°F (15–25°C); an intermediate grower that adapts well to typical indoor conditions.
• Humidity: 60–80%; maintain consistent humidity with good air movement around the plant.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and keep the medium evenly moist at all times; Phragmipediums do not tolerate drying out between waterings.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining mix of fine bark, perlite, and sphagnum moss. Ships bare root, well-established. A rare and collectible long-petaled hybrid for the serious slipper orchid enthusiast.
