Oncidium Lojanita

A striking hybrid between Onc. Aidita Tosi and Onc. Cholita Cuencana, bearing arching, branched inflorescences adorned with bold, velvety flowers in deep red to red-orange tones with creamy white margins and a vivid golden-yellow center. The long sprays emerge from well-developed pseudobulbs and can carry multiple blooms per spike, creating a dramatic and eye-catching floral display.

• Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth. Avoid direct midday sun, which can scorch the foliage and pseudobulbs.
• Temperature: Intermediate to cool grower. Daytime temperatures of 65–75°F (18–24°C) and nighttime lows of 55–62°F (13–17°C); a 10–15°F (5–8°C) day-night differential encourages blooming.
• Humidity: Prefers 60–80% relative humidity. Humidity trays or a humidifier work well; ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal issues.
• Watering: Water thoroughly when the potting medium approaches dryness, typically every 5–7 days. Reduce slightly after pseudobulbs mature; mounted plants may need more frequent watering.

A product of Ecuagenera's breeding program, combining two Oncidium hybrids selected for vigor and floral impact. Best grown in a well-draining bark mix or mounted on cork bark; repot every 2–3 years when the medium breaks down.
