Bulbophyllum Elizabeth Ann 'Buckleberry'

This is undoubtedly one of the most famous Bulbophyllum hybrids (Bulb. longissimum x Bulb. rothschildianum). It is a medium to large-sized plant with a spreading habit, making it ideal for wide, shallow pots or baskets.

• Light: It requires bright, filtered or indirect light. Avoid intense, direct midday sunlight to prevent leaf scorch.
• Temperature: It is a warm to intermediate growing orchid. The ideal daytime temperature range is 68-86°F (20-30°C). A nocturnal temperature drop, with a minimum around 59°F (15°C).
• Humidity: It needs high and consistent humidity, with optimal levels between 60% and 70%.
• Watering: It requires frequent and copious watering. The growing medium must be kept perpetually moist and should never dry out completely between waterings.

Additional Notes

This orchid is highly valued for its spectacular flowers, which can reach up to 8 " (20 cm) long. The blooms combine the beautiful red color of B. rothschildianum with the very long sepals of B. longissimum.
