8 reviews for Philodendron plowmanii var citrus (medium)

I got this plant as a replacement, as the first one died in shipping. This time, the plant survived, but all three of the leaves had yellowed and died. Roots were in pretty good condition, though, and after two weeks in water in a humid greenhouse cabinet, it is continuing to put out healthy new roots. Wouldn’t recommend it for beginners, but if you’re willing to put in the work, I think you’ll end up with a great plant.

So sad, this would have been a magnificent plant. Largest leaf on the plant was bigger than my head. If that’s the medium, I wonder the size of the regular! Had a good amount of nodes and roots as well. Unfortunately, some liquid from another plant’s moss cover soaked into the plowmanii’s parcel and the extra moisture combined with the warm weather meant it completely rotted. Ecuagenera was very helpful in arranging a solution, though.
