This plant arrived with yellowing leaves, not very many roots, and the roots were very dry. It did not acclimate well at all and eventually died. Ecuagenera replaced the plant and it died AGAIN!

Packaged well and plant looked great upon arrival, but within a day the lowest leaf was yellowing and 72 hours 3/4 leaves are partially or fully yellow, and the bottom one has already dropped. I’m going to chop and prop as well as take the top cutting just to try and save it. Otherwise, still a beautiful plant, but I’ve had an easier time acclimating similar plants like P. squamicaule and P. serpens.

when I took the plant out of the box, there was very little yellowing of the leaves or wilt. but within 24 hours, the leaves began wilting and dropping even in a humidity box and soaking in water. it is down to part of the stem as parts of the long stem began rotting.

I’ve read some reviews and heard from friends that this plant isn’t a great shipper and is difficult to acclimate but I’ve found both those statements to be false in my case. I purchased two of these just in case one doesn’t survive, but I’m happy to say that both are thriving and have given me new leaves in just under two months. If you were deciding on which fuzzy petioled plant to buy, I would definitely recommend this one and the serpens. Both shipped very well and acclimated quickly.

Inadequate packaging caused extensive root rot and many wilted leaves. The box arrived with one end ripped open, so the heat pack they included in the box stood no chance. One of the fibrosums I ordered was huge but the stem was snapped in half because it wasn’t packaged with enough padding. The other fibrosum had a soft wet spot in the middle of one of its leaves. All the roots were rotten.

These lost all their leaves from shipping, and are in the emergency room. Did not arrive well. I’ve ordered over 20+ aroids and honestly it is hit or miss. I would say 1/4 arrives in acceptable condition meaning the stem is easily salvageable. Maybe it’s packaging or the time traveling, but I always lose most of the leaves. Plants arrive in sphagnum moss wrapped in plastic. If you order from the USA, be aware you will probably not get what you see. That’s why the prices reflect it. These are prices for rehabs. Shaggy, thick, bright green petioles that remind me of a woodland moss. Came with two leaves and a third starting, and I’ve had to remove one as it completely wilted & had lost most of the hair on the petiole. However, the stem and roots are healthy, and so far it looks like the other leaves will hang on. My understanding is that this plant doesn’t travel well in general, to be fair.
