Description

Description

A intergeneric hybrid of Rtt. Jimminey Cricket × C. purpurata, producing multiple flowers per stem with distinctly narrow, elongated sepals and petals that reflect its Brassavola lineage, and a wide, rounded trilobed lip with a yellow-green throat inherited from C. purpurata — an open, star-shaped floral form that sets it apart from conventional Cattleya hybrids.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 30–50% shade cloth; good light levels are essential for reliable blooming.
  • Temperature: 60–82°F (16–28°C); an Intermediate to Warm grower with a minimum tolerance around 55°F (13°C).
  • Humidity: 50–70%; tolerates moderate humidity with good air circulation.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to dry out between waterings; reduce watering slightly after new growth matures.

Additional Notes

Grow in a well-draining bark mix in a pot sized to the root system, or mount on cork. Bright light and a slight temperature drop at night encourage blooming. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
