Aerides

Aerides, often called "Fox-Tail Orchids", are a captivating genus of monopodial, epiphytic orchids native to tropical and subtropical Asia, from India to the Philippines. They are celebrated for their long, pendulous sprays of fragrant, waxy flowers that resemble elegant, cascading tails. The blooms come in delicate shades of white, pink, lavender, and purple, often adorned with striking lip markings, and emit a rich, sweet fragrance, especially in the evening. Their strap-shaped, leathery leaves grow in an alternating pattern along a sturdy central stem, giving them a lush, architectural presence.
