Oncidium leeanum

No fault of Ecuagenera, sometimes plants just have a hard time in shipping! I was really excited to receive this Onc. Leeanum in my pre-order at the Vancouver Orchid Show, but sadly it was not in a survivable state upon arrival (rotted & moldy). I wasn't able to get a photo before I turned it over to the staff, but the Ecuagenera staff were very helpful and allowed me to exchange it for an Onc. Harryanum at the Orchid Show, but upon unwrapping that one at home I realized its roots were ALSO struggling with some really bad root rot.. I just wasn't meant to have a natural Oncidium I guess! .. :( I was sooo excited to see how the Leeanum smelled too ! I would definitely like to try again in the future, Leeanum is still on my list.

Just a note, I came home with 5 plants total from Ecuagenera (2 were pre-ordered and 3 bought in person), aside from the Leeanum and the Harryanum that I exchanged it for, the other 4 plants are VERY healthy and 2 are even blooming just 1 week after the show! (After travelling, being repotted and stuck in a new light environment) they still bloomed and didn't drop their buds. Pretty amazing. :)
