Information

Description

Description

A distinctive miniature species from the Andean cloud forests. It grows compact elliptic leaves with a notably corrugated, rugose texture, and produces successive small flowers on slender ramicauls with the intricate floral structure typical of the genus.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the textured foliage.
  • Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an Intermediate grower that benefits from good air circulation and stable temperatures.
  • Humidity: 75–90%; maintain consistently high humidity — ideal for terrariums or humid intermediate setups.
  • Watering: Water frequently to keep the medium evenly moist; avoid prolonged dryness, as Lepanthes roots are sensitive to dehydration.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or tree fern with fine sphagnum moss, as shown. Its compact size and uniquely textured foliage make it an excellent terrarium subject. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established.
