Information

Description

Description

A slender reed-stem epiphyte endemic to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing lax, branched racemes of numerous tiny star-shaped flowers arranged alternately along wiry stems. Each bloom displays narrow, acuminate sepals and petals alongside a small lip with a prominent contrasting callus at its center.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun to prevent stress on the slender stems and foliage.
  • Temperature: 54–75°F (12–24°C); an intermediate grower that benefits from moderate temperature fluctuations between day and night.
  • Humidity: 65–85%; good air circulation around the stems and roots helps prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; avoid standing water at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
