Information

Description

Description

A slender-stemmed orchid from the cloud forests of South America, producing short, compact lateral racemes with densely arranged small flowers featuring ovate sepals, narrow petals, and a finely toothed lip. The very narrow, rush-like leaves along the upright stems give the plant a distinctive, grass-like silhouette.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–60% shade cloth; avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the delicate foliage.
  • Temperature: 55–72°F (13–22°C); an intermediate grower that thrives with stable temperatures and good air movement.
  • Humidity: 70–85%; consistent humidity supports healthy stem development and reliable flowering.
  • Watering: Water regularly and allow the substrate to approach dryness between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the roots.

Additional Notes

A species from the cloud forests of South America, best grown mounted on cork or in a small pot with a fine, well-draining bark mix. The slender, rush-like habit makes it an interesting specimen for collectors. Ships bare root, well-established.
