Information

Description

Description

A large, select specimen of the iconic Queen Anthurium, displaying the species' signature dramatically elongated, deeply ribbed leaves with a rich velvety surface and contrasting pale venation. At 65cm this plant is already a statement piece, with a well-established root system ready to push increasingly impressive foliage.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 60–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which bleaches and damages the textured leaf surface.
  • Temperature: 60–80°F (16–27°C). Intermediate to warm grower; protect from temperatures below 55°F (13°C).
  • Humidity: 70–90%; very high humidity is essential for optimal leaf size and texture. A humidifier or enclosed growing space is strongly recommended.
  • Watering: Keep the mix evenly moist but never waterlogged; use a chunky, well-aerated mix. Never allow roots to dry out completely.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a mix of orchid bark, perlite, and sphagnum moss. Net pots or terracotta recommended for airflow. Ships bare root, well-established large specimen (65cm). Grown at Ecuagenera, Ecuador.
