Maxillaria Paloma

A primary hybrid of Max. irrorata × Max. platypetala, combining two large-flowered Maxillaria species. The blooms are broad and elegant with wide, gently recurved tepals and a prominent trilobed lip featuring a vivid yellow callus and delicately flushed lateral lobes.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can bleach the broad, strap-like foliage.
• Temperature: 50–68°F (10–20°C); a cool grower that thrives with good temperature drops at night and excellent air circulation.
• Humidity: 65–80%; consistent humidity with strong airflow is essential for healthy root development.
• Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to partially dry between waterings; avoid prolonged saturation at the root zone.

Additional Notes

Best grown in a well-draining bark-based mix in a medium to large pot. A rewarding primary hybrid that produces impressive, long-lasting flowers. Shipped bare root in well-established condition.
