Information

Description

Description

A miniature epiphyte native to the cloud forests of South America, producing successive pendant flowers on slender ramicauls arising from small, ovate leaves. The blooms feature ovate-acuminate sepals with a distinctly granular texture and prominent venation, framing the small bilobed petals in a compact, intricate structure.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 60–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the delicate foliage.
  • Temperature: 50–68°F (10–20°C); a cool grower that benefits from cool nights and consistent air movement.
  • Humidity: 75–90%; maintain high ambient humidity with good airflow to prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Keep evenly moist at all times; water frequently in small amounts and never allow the roots to dry out completely.

Additional Notes

Best mounted on cork or tree fern, or potted in a fine, well-draining mix (sphagnum moss or fine bark). Ships bare root, well-established.
