Information

Description

Description

A miniature epiphyte native to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing successive flowers on slender ramicauls that emerge from small, ovate leaves. The tiny blooms display the characteristic free sepals and bilobed petals typical of the genus, creating a delicate, intricate display.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the thin, delicate leaves.
  • Temperature: 59–75°F (15–24°C); an intermediate-warm grower with good tolerance for mild temperature fluctuations.
  • Humidity: 70–90%; maintain high ambient humidity and ensure good air circulation to prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Keep evenly moist but never waterlogged; water frequently in small amounts and allow the roots to breathe between waterings.

Additional Notes

Best mounted on cork or tree fern, or potted in a fine, well-draining mix (sphagnum moss or fine bark). Ships bare root, well-established.
