Description

Description

A charming miniature epiphyte native to the cloud forests of Ecuador, bearing successive flowers on arching, zigzag ramicauls that can carry multiple blooms simultaneously. The broadly triangular sepals frame a vivid, flame-shaped lip structure with striking morphological detail.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun exposure, which can damage the thin, delicate leaves.
  • Temperature: 50–68°F (10–20°C); a Cool to Cool-Intermediate grower that appreciates consistent cool temperatures and good air movement.
  • Humidity: 75–90%; maintain high ambient humidity with good airflow to prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Keep roots evenly moist at all times; water frequently in small amounts and ensure excellent drainage to avoid root rot.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork bark or in a small net pot with fine sphagnum moss for optimal root aeration. Ideal for terrarium or Wardian case culture with stable cool conditions. Ships bare root, well-established.
