Information

Description

Description

A slender epiphyte endemic to the cloud forests of Ecuador, producing lax, few-flowered racemes of graceful, spider-shaped blooms on wiry stems with narrow, strap-like leaves. The flowers display extremely elongated, acuminate sepals and petals with fine longitudinal dark veining on a cream-green ground, alongside a small, fringed lip with a vivid yellow throat.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct midday sun to prevent stress on the slender stems and narrow foliage.
  • Temperature: 50–72°F (10–22°C); an intermediate-cool grower that benefits from cool nights and good air movement.
  • Humidity: 70–85%; good air circulation around the roots and stems is essential to prevent fungal issues.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the medium to approach dryness between waterings; avoid standing water at the roots.

Additional Notes

Best grown mounted on cork or in a well-draining bark-based mix. Plants are shipped bare root and well established, ready to adapt quickly to their new growing environment.
