Epidendrum porpax f. viride

A charming miniature species from Ecuador and Colombia, this green form (f. viride) features compact growth and delicate flowers. Found at elevations of 1,800-2,800 meters in cloud forests, it produces small greenish blooms on short inflorescences. Its diminutive size and unique coloration make it perfect for terrariums or mounted displays.

• Light: Moderate to bright indirect light with 60-80% shade. Avoid direct sun which can burn the leaves.
• Temperature: Cool to intermediate conditions. Daytime 64-75°F (18-24°C), nighttime 50-59°F (10-15°C). Cooler temperatures mimic its cloud forest habitat.
• Humidity: 70-85% with excellent air circulation. High humidity is essential for this cloud forest species.
• Watering: Keep consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water every 2-3 days or mist daily if mounted. Never allow to dry out completely.

Additional Notes:

This miniature species grows best mounted on cork or tree fern with a small amount of sphagnum moss around the roots. The green form (f. viride) is less common than the typical form and is prized by collectors for its subtle coloration.
