Platystele Ecuagenera

A floriferous hybrid of Plat. baqueroi × Plat. posadarum, two miniature Andean cloud forest species. It produces a profusion of simultaneous star-shaped flowers on slender scapes, each with translucent yellow-green linear-lanceolate sepals and a vivid crimson-red labellum — a striking contrast that makes this tiny plant punch well above its size.

• Light: Bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which stresses the compact, fine-rooted growth.
• Temperature: 50–72°F (10–22°C); a cool to intermediate grower that thrives with good air movement, stable humidity, and a slight nighttime temperature drop to encourage blooming.
• Humidity: 75–90%; consistently high humidity is essential for this miniature cloud forest hybrid.
• Watering: Water frequently to keep the fine root system evenly moist; never allow to dry out completely, as miniature Platystele are highly sensitive to desiccation.

Additional Notes

Ideal for terrariums or mounted on cork bark and moss to maintain the constant moisture this genus requires. Plants are shipped bare root and well-established, ready to mount or establish in a high-humidity enclosure upon arrival.
