Lepanthes saltatrix
Cultivating the captivating Lepanthes saltatrix requires attention to its unique needs. Below are some essential tips to ensure its successful growth:
Light: Lepanthes saltatrix thrives in low to moderate, indirect light. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight, as its delicate leaves can easily burn. Dappled light, similar to that found in its natural habitat, is optimal.
Temperature: Create a cool to intermediate environment by maintaining daytime temperatures between 18-25°C (64-77°F) and slightly cooler nights around 15-17°C (59-63°F).
Humidity: High humidity is vital for Lepanthes saltatrix. Aim for humidity levels between 70-85%. Utilizing humidifiers, pebble trays, or regular misting can help achieve the desired humidity levels.
Watering: Keep the substrate consistently moist, but never soggy. Frequent, light watering is crucial. Ensure proper drainage to prevent water accumulation and root rot.
Habitat: In its natural habitat, Lepanthes saltatrix is found in montane cloud forests, often growing as epiphytes on mossy tree trunks. Providing a similar environment with good air circulation and humidity will support its growth.

It made all the way to Canada in great condition, very healthy roots and even has spikes. I was skeptical at first since it has thin leaves but the specimen seems more hardy than it looks. Very happy with my purchase!
Thank you so much, Hang! We’re thrilled to hear your plant made it all the way to Canada in such great condition — healthy roots and flower spikes are always a wonderful sign. We understand the initial skepticism with thin-leaved species, but it's true — many are tougher than they appear!
We're so glad this specimen exceeded your expectations, and we truly appreciate your trust in Ecuagenera. Wishing you continued success and growth with your new plant!
Warm regards,
Ecuagenera Team
Very nice plant. Couple leaves was a little dry just because of the long distance. I cant wait for a new leaf to come up.
Thank you Haitham for your review! We're glad to hear that you're enjoying your Lepanthes saltatrix plant. We apologize for any dry leaves due to the distance, but we're sure the new leaf coming up will make up for it. Happy growing! Ecuagenera Team.
The other 3 orchids arrived in perfect condition this one not so much all the leaves fell off within the day. Maybe I’ll get lucky and it will survive.
Arrived crispy and dead
