Description

Description

An exceptional internal cross combining two choice, select cultivars of this magnificent unifoliate species native to the coastal and mountain forests of South America. The strong, upright pseudobulbs give rise to elegant terminal inflorescences that display a spectacular cluster of large, heavily textured, and wonderfully fragrant blossoms highly prized for their outstanding form and elite lineage.

  • Light: Bright indirect light with 40–60% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can stress the foliage.
  • Temperature: 65–85Β°F (18–29Β°C); an intermediate to warm grower that adapts well to stable indoor conditions.
  • Humidity: 60–80%; consistent humidity encourages vigorous growth and prolific flowering.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly and allow the mix to approach dryness between waterings; never allow the roots to remain waterlogged.

Additional Notes

Providing strong air movement around the container helps ensure optimal root development and uniform flowering cycles for this medium-sized plant with very large flowers. It ships bare root and should be gently rehydrated at an intermediate temperature before being potted immediately upon arrival.
