Description

Description

A remarkably floriferous miniature orchid native to the cloud forests of Ecuador, prized for its ability to produce dozens of blooms simultaneously from a single dense clump. The small, star-shaped flowers feature open sepals tapering into long, thread-like tails in clean, pure white tones.

  • Light: Low to moderate light; 70–80% shade cloth. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the foliage.
  • Temperature: 57–72°F (14–22°C); intermediate grower. Benefits from moderate temperature fluctuation between day and night.
  • Humidity: 70–90%. High humidity is key; always pair with good air movement to prevent fungal rot.
  • Watering: Keep roots evenly moist at all times. Water more frequently in warm months, slightly less in winter. Never allow to dry out completely.

Additional Notes

Best grown in fine bark or sphagnum moss in small net or plastic pots. Well suited for intermediate indoor or greenhouse setups. Offered by Ecuagenera, Ecuador, as a well-established bare-root plant.
