A hybrid of Paph. Schöne von Kaunitz × Paph. Senne Calle, two complex Paphiopedilum hybrids with strong slipper orchid lineage. It produces solitary flowers on erect, hairy scapes with a broad, upright dorsal sepal, horizontally spreading petals with ciliate margins, and a deep, glossy pouch-shaped lip.
-
Light: Low to bright indirect light with 50–70% shade cloth; avoid direct sun, which can scorch the strap-like foliage.
-
Temperature: 60–82°F (15–28°C); an intermediate to warm grower that thrives with stable temperatures and good air movement year-round.
-
Humidity: 60–80%; moderate to high humidity promotes healthy growth and encourages the development of long-lasting flowers.
-
Watering: Keep the substrate evenly moist at all times; Paphiopedilums lack pseudobulbs and cannot tolerate prolonged dryness between waterings.
Additional Notes
Best grown in a fine bark or peat-perlite mix in a well-draining pot sized to the root system. Plants are shipped bare root and well established; pot promptly upon arrival and water thoroughly to rehydrate the roots.
